What is a neuromodulator?
Neuromodulator injections relax muscles by blocking signals from the nerves that make muscles contract, as well as signals responsible for sweating. When your skin is young, it is full of collagen and elastin, which is why wrinkles and lines immediately disappear after the face relaxes. As we age, our skin loses its collagen and elastin, causing it to become thinner and less elastic which is why the wrinkles and lines are more permanent in a relaxed state. As we constantly use our muscles, the lines start to become more permanent, making neuromodulators a great preventative therapy for wrinkles! Similarly, neuromodulator injections into the masseter muscles can reduce muscle contraction and reduce pain associated with TMJ disorders and bruxism!

Since downtime is minimal, makeup can be applied 1 to 2 days after the treatment. Clients should expect to see micro lesions a few days after treatment and slight redness depending on treatment parameters.
